However, for me there is an even greater advantage of using crypto currency over fiat currency - that is I do not need need a bank from which to make payments - a bank that tracks all and every one of my financial activities - and keeps a record of them all
A bank that also, doubtless, communicates with other authorities, and a bank that has the ability to restrict (or even prevent) how I spend my OWN money! Yes, crypto is being more and more regulated and 'centralised' - but, the are so many different crypto coins coming and going - it is impossible for the 'powers-that-be' to control them all... and crypto gives me a higher degree of personal control over my finances because of that.
